CMT “Orange Chrome” 285 industrial series solid wood cutting blades for sliding panel saws offer amazing performance for crosscutting and ripping thick material. The 12” x 48 tooth is great for up to 2” thick solid wood and the 72 tooth for ¾” to 1” material. Both blades offer a 30mm bore with two 10mm pin holes if required for your saw. These blades are a great option for users who wish to use their sliding panel saws to straighten live edge woods, cut solid wood strips or for miter work. Manufactured in Germany the plates of these blades are laser cut with expansion slots to help run cool in the cut but the slots are also filled with special material to dampen the vibration and noise. The plates are then chrome coated for improved plate hardness and less friction for improved life. With less friction the blade will develop less heat and by running cooler there will be less pitch build up allowing the saw blade to stay sharp longer. The carbide teeth are 3.2mm wide and 8mm tall with a ATB grind for extra-long life of sharpness. The teeth are set on a 15 degree hook angle with a 10 degree top tooth bevel.
